Welcome Summer Camp Applicants

Thank you for applying to Penland School of Craft's Summer Camps. We have some great camp offerings this year! All camps will be held in the Ridgeway Building, across the road from the Penland Gallery. 

If you are requesting a scholarship, please click here to fill out the scholarship application instead of this one.

Here are a few important specifics:

  • Applicants are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Materials fees are included in the price of tuition.
  • Payment is due at the time of registration.
  • You may apply for multiple camps for one child using this form. 
  • This form must be filled out separately for each camper.
  • Please ensure that your child's age will fall within the age range specified by the instructor before enrolling them in a camp. We are not able to admit children who fall outside of this range. 

To ensure the safety of our students and instructors:

  • If your child has accessibility needs, allergies, food sensitivities, etc. you must indicate this in the Medical Information section below and also speak to the teacher at the beginning of the camp.
  • Children must be toileting independently in order to attend Kids Camp. We do not accompany children into the restroom and we're not equipped to handle accidents. 
  • We will follow the recommendations of local healthcare professionals and the CDC for Covid-19 safety precautions. Masks and social distancing may be required.

Penland's Covid-19 Safety Policy is based on the recommendations of local healthcare professionals and the CDC. I agree that my child will follow the precautions that are in place at the time of camp, which may include masking (covering nose and mouth at all times except during snack) and social distancing.

Photo/Video Release
I give permission for video and/or photographs of me or my child to be used by Penland School of Craft, a nonprofit organization. I understand that the photos and videos taken during Summer Camp may be used for general public relations purposes. This may include printed materials, annual reports, newsletters, posters, website links, Penland’s advertisements and announcements. Choosing to decline permission will not affect your or your child’s ability to participate.

Liability Waiver
Penland School of Craft does not have a first responder or an EMT on staff and has minimal first-aid capabilities. It is the school’s policy to contact 911 in the event of any medical emergency. Penland does not administer any form of injectable adrenaline (epinephrine). If the child has a food allergy that will affect snack choices, it is the responsibility of the guardian to specify the child’s needs clearly on this form.

I hereby give permission for the above named child to participate in all Penland School of Craft Camp activities. I assume all risks and hazards incidental to the conduct of the camp. I do hereby release Penland School, its employees, and camp instructors of any loss, injury, or other damage to me or the above-named camp participant. In case of accidental injury to my child, I waive all claims against the organizers or supervisors appointed by Penland School of Craft.

Once your child is checked in, they must remain with the group until camp is released at the end of the day.
