In our ceramic pottery series, we will be learning how to create serving platters (think Shabbat challah plate, fish tray, etc.) using clay. We will focus on two different techniques. One technique will utilize our brand new slab roller to create molds,a nd the other will use textures to make impressions in our class. After the pieces have been fired we will be using glazes to paint our ceramic pieces which will be available for pickup after their final firing.

Bring a towel or a yoga mat and wear your most comfortable clothes.  This is a basic stretching yoga class (no previous experience necessary). Our moves will be slow and we will spend several minutes in each stretch. We will spend time sitting, lying down, and sitting on our knees.  This is a wonderful opportunity to relax, stretch, rejuvenate and get out of your head for a time. Please check with your doctor if you have any medical concerns before this class.

Explore middot (character traits) through creative arts with Judaic Studies Principal, Rivkie Gottlieb. David Moss, a renowned artist, has created many artistic toolkits for others to be able to use to explore the many different facets of Judaism. This session will explore various middot that make up the human personality palate allowing participants to be creative with the middot that hold most value to the individual.

Join us as we create beautiful mezuzot together. You will learn about fuse glass vs. stain glass. All participants will learn how to score, cut, and design their own glass mezuzah creation.  Participants can select from pre-cut solid, swirl, or transparent colors, or cut their own piece from our vast array of options! Completed pieces will be fired and returned with a wooden backing to hold your scroll.  NO previous glass skills required. Does not include scroll.

Dalcroze eurhythmics, also known as the Dalcroze method or simply eurhythmics, is one of several developmental approaches used to teach music. Dalcroze eurhythmics teaches concepts of rhythm, structure, and musical expression using movement, and is the concept for which Dalcroze is best known. It focuses on allowing students to gain physical awareness and experience of music through training that takes place through all of the senses, particularly kinesthetic.
