For healthcare professionals serving on the front lines of a global pandemic in medical missions, this has been an incredibly challenging year. At any time, global health work involves inordinate amounts of stress. Research shows that long-term health relies on correlating supports with increased levels of stress, especially chronic stress. You have served faithfully on the field under these stressful circumstances, and now it is time for you to step out of your context back to the U.S. for refueling and refreshment. Our first annual Medical Global Worker Retreat this December 2020 is an outcome of the partnership between Christian Health Service Corps (CHSC) and GRC (godspeedresources.org) that is designed to be one of your vital supports to renew you emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. This program is open to any career missionary serving in health care missions.

This Retreat will include community interaction with other medical global worker families, seminars, group debriefing, individual/couples counseling, recreation opportunities, and both structured and unstructured time and activities. Our goal is to provide you with refreshment/healing, knowledge, skills, and a safe place to process so that you can continue in your calling and life with faithfulness and contentment.
