When tragedy struck our community in the 2018 Borderline Grill mass shooting, after extensive research and interview with medical specialists, law enforcement, and administrators, a group of Westlake High School students founded Hero Up and created portable kits that include the materials necessary to stop extreme bleeding in emergency situations. Each kit also contains an easy to read, two-sided instruction card complete with a QR code that leads to an additional instructional video.
As a local student initiative, Hero Up's goal is to equip every classroom in the CVUSD with Hero Up kits. $30 provides one kit to a classroom. All donations through this page go directly to this program.
