1. Gain a better understanding of the Biblical and Historical background of Contemplative Prayer
2. Learn a variety of contemplative practices to integrate into their personal prayer practices, and in the life of the local church.
3. Receive materials and training to take this intensive into their own ministry settings to lead themselves for others.

Whether you’re new to this practice or looking to deepen your existing practice, this learning/interactive experience offers valuable insights and tools to support your spiritual growth. We will explore the role of silence and stillness in spiritual growth and address common obstacles in maintaining a prayer practice in a supportive community environment.
A 7th session is available for those wishing to earn CEU credit. This bonus session will equip you to take the Prayer of the Heart learnings and training to lead for others in your own ministry context.

Trainer BIO:
Dr. Karen Bray has over two decades of experience in pastoral ministry. She is trained in spiritual direction and spiritual wellness coaching. Dr. Bray earned her Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Preaching from Asbury Theological Seminary, where her research focused on contemplative prayer and meditation and their roles in spiritual growth.
