This year, we are honored to welcome Mayor Jenny Mundell of Bloomfield, Rob Ida of IDA Automotive and Mike "Magic" as our special guests, alongside iHeart Radio’s Xen Sams, who will host this unforgettable event. Additionally, the day will feature a live musical performance by signed artist, Julia Roome!

At Westbridge Academy, we believe therapeutic education must lead somewhere tangible.

Not long ago, Iben Green completed our REACH Automotive Literacy program. In our structured, hands-on environment, he developed precision, discipline, follow-through, and pride in craftsmanship.

Today, Iben is enrolled at Universal Technical Institute pursuing a career in Welding.

He follows the path of Bryan Barrera, another Westbridge graduate who transformed hands-on learning into post-secondary technical training and workforce preparation.

These outcomes are not accidental.

They are the result of regulation, structure, and meaningful skill development coming together.

This June, at our 5th Annual 2026 Car Show & Wellness Fair, we will formally launch:

The Rob Ida Automotive Literacy Scholarship

The scholarship is named in honor of Rob Ida, an internationally respected automotive designer and master fabricator known for his precision craftsmanship, custom vehicle design, and dedication to excellence in the skilled trades.

His work represents the discipline, technical mastery, and pride in workmanship that we strive to cultivate in our students.

The Rob Ida Automotive Literacy Scholarship will be the inaugural award under:

The REACH Career Pathways Fund

The REACH Career Pathways Fund is a privately funded charitable initiative designed to support Westbridge graduates after completion of their enrollment as they pursue verified post-secondary education, credentialing, or apprenticeship training in automotive and related technical fields.

Support may include:

• Tuition assistance
• Certification and licensing fees
• Required professional tools
• Apprenticeship-related expenses

Funds raised through this initiative will not be used to offset tuition or district-billed educational services. Awards are made annually based on demonstrated readiness, enrollment verification, and available funding.

Founding Goal: $50,000

This goal allows us to provide sustainable post-graduation support and publicly award the first Rob Ida Automotive Literacy Scholarship at our June 2026 Car Show.

When a Westbridge student demonstrates readiness, we want finances to support momentum - not interrupt it.

• 🔥🚔 Bloomfield Public Services – We welcome participation from Bloomfield Fire Department and other community services to connect with local families.
• 💼 Careers & Community Resource Tent: We are inviting local businesses, child care providers, educational leaders, and institutions of learning to share career opportunities, services, and programs with our school community.
• 🎭 Student Performances & Activities, including exciting student-made soap box car races.
• 🎶 Entertainment by Westbridge Academy and a special anti-bullying-themed magic show by Mike Magic.
