Join the AMoA for a special presentation by the collector of A Graphic Journey: Prints by Picasso, Dr. Timothy Collins.
 
About The Collection: 

The Tim Collins Collection presents an important and insightful gathering of etchings, lithographs and linocuts by one of the great masters of the 20th Century. The exhibition presents 63 works created between 1923 and 1972 and provides a unique window into a significant era in art history, and takes a serious and scholarly look at Picasso’s development and creative process, often not as accessible in his paintings.

 

About the Collector: 

Dr. Timothy Collins is a visionary leader at the intersection of art, healthcare, education, and community empowerment. With a diverse background spanning healthcare provider, real estate investor, and consultant, Dr. Collins and now is fostering his true passion which is fostering inclusivity and diversity in all aspects of the art world.

As a passionate art collector with a focus on rare prints, particularly those of Pablo Picasso, Dr. Collins recognizes the transformative power of art to unite, inspire, and educate. When he first walked into a gallery, it was not with the idea that he would be building a world-class art collection with a special focus on Picasso prints. His journey as a collector has been marked by excitement and discovery, enriched by the connections he has forged with fellow enthusiasts and experts in the field.


Dr. Collins will be coming in from Los Angeles to present a talk about his personal journey into art collecting and specifically what drew him to Picasso's print work as a focus for his collecting.

This program is free to attend but registration is appreciated so we can be prepared with enough refreshments.
