The Island Within is a safe place we can always come back to, where we are protected by our practice of mindfulness, aware of our breath and aware of the sensations and feelings in our body. We no longer feel alone and isolated because we have this island that we can take refuge in, anytime, anywhere. We don’t have to go far or seek harder. In this place we access a well of love, of gratitude, and good will that is at the source of who we are in our true nature. 

This retreat will follow a schedule of sitting, walking, short chants, and an evening Dharma talk by Trina. Noble Silence will be observed.

Due to limited resources, there will be potluck style lunch for two days so please bring something to share each day. A light dinner will be served. Please have breakfast before arrival. Retreat begins at 9:00am each day.  We are looking for volunteers to help set up meal time and clean up after meals. If you would like to support your fellow practitioners on this retreat through volunteering or would like to contribute dana for a meal offering, we would graciously accept your generosity and support.
