AWHS 2024 Day of Giving

Today, we are asking for your support to help raise $100,000 for essential Athletics operations that impact the entire school community. With almost 70% of our student body participating in athletics, your contribution will support not just our competitive teams, but the entire athletic department that touches the lives of every student directly and indirectly.  These funds are crucial for maintaining our facilities, supporting our coaches, and ensuring the safety and fairness of competition, as our teams compete at the highest levels.

The energy and excitement generated by school events—whether it’s cheering on our teams at games, celebrating victories, or wearing school colors—creates a vibrant school spirit that lifts everyone. These moments of unity and pride shape our culture and foster a sense of community and belonging for all students, athletes and non-athletes alike.

Our athletic facilities are used by all students for physical education classes, fitness activities, pep rallies, dances, or informal gatherings, maintaining these spaces ensures that all students have access to high-quality, safe facilities that enhance their overall educational experience.

Why Your Support Matters

The PCL is known for its fierce competition and commitment to excellence, and our student-athletes are proud to compete at this level and qualify to compete at the PIAA level.  But none of this is possible without the resources and support necessary to operate successful programs.

By contributing to our Athletics operations, you're helping our athletes succeed not only in the PCL/PIAA, but also in life—learning valuable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Your support also strengthens school spirit, fosters unity, and ensures that every student, athlete or not, benefits from the lasting impact of athletics on our school community.
