Invest in the New Era of
Old Dominion University Athletics

Old Dominion University President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D., announced that Tim House will become the sixth Director of Athletics in school history, effective January 1, 2027. House comes to Norfolk from Michigan State.

At Michigan State, the Spartan Athletics Foundation reported directly to House, who led a comprehensive advancement strategy that drove philanthropic growth and donor engagement. He also supervised multiple sport programs, including serving as administrator for the Spartan hockey team that won the Big Ten Championship and advanced to the Elite Eight.

Prior to Michigan State, House spent seven years at Purdue, rising to Deputy Athletics Director and Associate Vice President for Development. There he launched an initiative that contributed to four straight years of 100% post-graduation placement for Purdue student-athletes, who voted him the 2022 Joe Tiller Award winner as the person who supported them most.

A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, and a graduate of NC State, House and his wife, Jen, have three daughters Emerson, Leah and Harper.
