Saint John Vianney Center Vicar Conferenceto be held at St. Mary's Seminary & University5400 Roland AvenueBaltimore, MDApril 26-29, 2027This conference, hosted and faciliated by the Saint John Vianney Center (SJVC), is for NEWLY APPOINTED Vicars for Clergy who will be ministering to priests within a diocesan setting. The Conference will include presentations pertinent to this position, dialogue among fellow vicars along with the expert staff of SJVC who are familiar and sensitive to the needs of the Vicar and the issues that may arise in this position. Time is also built in for fraternity and support during the conference days which is also very important for the vicar to establish support of other vicars.
SJVC has provided conferences for those in the Vicar for Clergy role for over 16 years. In total, SJVC has provided support and resources to the Office of the Bishop and the Office of the Vicar over its 80 years in ministry. It is our hope that we can provide the newly appointed vicar guidance, support, and a wide variety of helpful resources as they begin in this position.The cost of the conference includes the conference sessions, overnight rooms, the socials and meals as part of the conference, beginning Monday evening, with full days on Tuesday and Wednesday, concluding at lunch on Thursday. The closest airport is BWI (Balt/Wash International/Thurgood Marshall Airport).
