Shannon Medical Center invites all Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and EMT’s and Paramedics seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in caring for and managing trauma patients to attend this one-day program.

Event will run 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Continental breakfast and BBQ lunch will be provided

Registration is limited to the first 200 registrants.

Experts in the field of trauma care will provide this update. This will be an intensive, one-day program detailing accepted guidelines for the management of the trauma patient. Attendance will provide access to continuing medical education to physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers and offer a forum for discussion related to care of the trauma patient.

Course Director is Dr. Bryan Hambric

Shannon Medical Center is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by New Mexico Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. 

Continuing education hours for EMTs and paramedics have been approved by the Texas Department State Health Services.

This activity awards 7.25 contact hours for nurses.

The Shannon Trauma Symposium is made possible through the support of the Gus Eckhardt Lectureship Fund. Donations to this fund to help perpetuate continuing education for the medical caregivers in our community.
