Missionary Cooperation Plan
Catholic Diocese of Youngstown
The Missionary Cooperation Plan of the U.S. Catholic Church, referred to as MCP, was started in the late 1930's and is conducted in Dioceses across the U.S. It is a way of centralizing the efforts of missionary organizations from around the world who wish to appeal to Catholics in the United States.
The MCP brings missionaries from around the world to speak in parishes. This program increases missionary awareness among the faithful whose donations, in turn, help the missionary organizations to continue their evangelization efforts and maintain their congregations, seminaries and convents.
There are many new strides in mission. We emphasize solidarity and understanding of situations that make life so difficult for so many people.
Please indicate your parish and the mission group name so that your donation is submitted to the correct organization. No collected funds should go directly to the visiting missionary.
