“4R Fundraiser: Reduce, Reuse, Repair, and Recycle Our Way to a Zero Waste NYC”
November 14, 2018, 6pm - 8pm
One Bryant Park, 48th Floor, NYC
The 4R Fundraiser is inspired by the mission of the MSWAB to help NYC reach its Zero Waste goals through
maximizing waste reduction, reuse, repair and recycling. 100% of the proceeds of the 4R Fundraiser Event will
be used to fund MSWAB projects including the NYC Reuse & Repair and Community Composting Grants. Grants are awarded to community groups, non-profits, and private businesses to start or expand upon existing reuse, repair and compost initiatives, as a complement to the City’s recycling efforts.
At the November 14 event, we will announce this year’s Reuse & Repair grantees as well as unveil our new free,
downloadable Residential Recycling & Reuse Guides for Multifamily Buildings. NYC Reuse & Repair Grants of
up to $2,000 will be awarded to start new reuse and repair projects, undertake related research projects, and
other activities that can lead to replicable reuse or repair models in all five boroughs of New York City.
The Residential Recycling and Reuse Guides are being offered as a free resource to building owners, property
managers and interested superintendents and residents looking to enhance resident engagement in multifamily
building recycling, reuse and organics collections efforts. MSWAB grant programs are in partnership with Citizens Committee for New York City, which is a 501(c)(3) organization, and your donation is tax deductible.
