Foster homes are too often the unsung heroes of rescues and have many 'out of pocket' expenses. These are expenses many of us would find nominal with one extra foster, but are expenses that become mounting costs when you foster several bulldogs at one time or have a special needs bulldog.

Foster homes donate much personally and they cover many of these expenses associated with fostering on their own. The rewards of being a foster home are few; compounded with this there is an added financial burden.

Many don’t realize how much goes into fostering. It’s not surprising for a volunteer to have an hour long drive to a shelter or vet‘s office for a rescue bulldog several times a month and we all know the current price of gasoline. Most foster homes manage the expense of feeding one extra bulldog with a regular diet, but the cost becomes even more expensive if it has a special, limited ingredient diet. Costs add up when you are caring for 2 or more extra fosters in your home for weeks at a time (extra beds, supplements, medicated shampoos, etc.).

Please help a volunteer here with your donations to help them with extra expenses you wish to see help them with in their home while fostering.
