Instructions for Donating from Your IRA

Thank you for your support of a parish, school or agency of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. In order to process your contribution in a timely and efficient manner, please complete the steps in the order they are listed below.

This form is reviewed regularly and all steps and information included are up to date.

Step 1: Request IRA Rollover from Custodian

Submit a letter to your IRA Custodian requesting to initiate an IRA charitable distribution. Many IRA Custodian’s have language or forms that they prefer you to use. Please visit your IRA Custodian's website for more specific instructions. The Tax ID number to use for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis is 35-1018460.

Step 2: Submit IRA Charitable Rollover Information to the Archdiocese

The information listed below must be submitted so that the Archdiocese is aware of your gift and designation instructions. Such information allows us, as the recipient, to assign a designation to the gifts. Once all information is collected and funds received, we will transfer all funds associated with this gift to the designee and provide a gift acknowledgement for your contribution.

Those who prefer to submit gift details in writing rather than using the electronic form that follows may submit that information to us in writing.  Please use the document located HERE to provide us full details on your gift.  Documents should be submitted to Archdiocese of Indianapolis, 1400 N. Meridian Street, Suite 105, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Please note, if we do not receive proper notification and designation, the gift will be placed into the general fund until all details are confirmed.
