“With the St. Joseph Hardship Fund, the Diocese of Lafayette can answer the call to love our neighbor and care for the most vulnerable throughout the eight parishes in our Diocese following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

- Bishop Douglas Deshotel

The St. Joseph Hardship Fund will provide resources throughout the Diocese of Lafayette to respond to the immediate and longer-term economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, resources for those in the Diocese of Lafayette experiencing homelessness or were one emergency away from homelessness were limited; the impact of the economic crisis that has followed the statewide quarantine order will further grow the need for working families and others who may never have expected to be in this position.
