Our Buddy Bear and Travel Buddy Programs are named after Buddy Minyard, who created Leukemia Texas in 1970 to support Texans in their leukemia journey.

You can help spread love to patients of all ages by “adopting” a Buddy Bear or purchasing a personalized Travel Buddy suitcase to share with them. Your generous gift gives them a huggable companion and an easier way to navigate hospital stays!

Each Buddy Bear and Travel Buddy suitcase will come with a 'Buddy Note' of encouragement letting the patient know that this gift was from you.
