What is the vision of the ‘Year Round Catechumenate’ and how does this fit with what you are already doing or should be doing? The RCIA describes an initiation process that exists at the heart of the Church’s life and on the same schedule as the Church: every day, all year long. While that may sound overwhelming and unimaginable, Wagner carefully explains how it is not only possible but also the best stewardship of the gifts and talents of initiation ministers. He will walk participants step by step through the periods and rites of the RCIA, providing helpful insight along the way. Wagner will help pastors, initiation teams, liturgy committees and other ministers imagine, envision, understand and implement a year round catechumenate in the parish.

The Presenter, Nick Wagner is the director and founder of TeamRCIA.com. He has more than 25 years experience as a leader and trainer in liturgical and catechetical ministries. He has a gift for translating theological principles into simple and clear language that inspires joy, commitment and passion for faith. He is the author of numerous articles and several books and on parish ministry including Whole Community Liturgy and The Way of Faith: A Field Guide for the RCIA Process (Twenty-Third Publications). He was an active team member with the North American Forum on the Catechumenate. He has worked in campus, parish and diocesan positions, and he holds a master’s degree from Saint John’s University, Collegeville, Minnesota.
