This fund has the charitable purpose of providing grants to Lancaster County municipalities to fund the design and construction for free, outdoor, poured-in-place concrete skateparks. Skateparks have been known to help turn neighborhoods into vibrant business districts, to not only improve physical health, but also to improve academic performance and reduce at-risk factors in youth, and are often cited by Parks administrators as their most popular, well-attended facility.
