The BAC is proud to partner with The Courtyard by Marriott Norfolk Downtown for Homecoming Weekend 2009. Rooms are available Friday, November 6th- Sunday, November 8th. Reservations can be made directly with the hotel online by clicking on the following links:

Rooms can also be reserved by contacting the Norfolk hotel directly at by calling 1-800-894-7956. No per night minimum is required. Rooms are limited! Deadline to make your reservation is October 7, 2009.

*Please note The Courtyard by Marriot Norfolk Downtown has valet-only onsite parking arrangements at the rate of $18.00 per car per night. Daytime-only parking is available at the rate of $10.00 per day per car. Members who are not staying at the hotel but who wish to park in the hotel garage while attending events must pay the daytime rate.

The City of Norfolk has garage parking available downtown. Most of the garages are a few blocks away from the hotel. Garage parking prices vary.

Alumni Honors Dinner

The ODU Alumni Association will be hosting the Alumni Honors Dinner, in Webb Center to recognize ODU Alumni who have made an impact in their field and communities. Rocky Bleier will highlight the dinner as our guest speaker. Bleier is a Vietnam veteran, as well as a four-time NFL Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joining Bleier, and receiving the ODU Outstanding Achievement Award will be ESPN SportsCenter anchor Jay Harris. ODU Distinguished Alumni and Alumni Service Awards will also be presented. Proceeds from this event will go to the Alumni Association's Adam Thoroughgood Scholars. Price - $100 per ticket

Comedy Show with Ben Bailey

All members of the ODU community are invited to attend a comedy show at the Ted Constant Convocation Center featuring ODU alumnus Ben Bailey. He is the host of the highly successful show Cash Cab on the Discovery Channel. His mass following for Cash Cab helped him receive a Daytime Emmy nomination last year for "Outstanding Game Show Host." Bailey has also appeared on many late night TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. ODU Homecoming 2009 Parade
10:00 am
Come out to see the floats, marching bands, and student organizations show their ODU pride in the annual Homecoming Parade. Prizes are awarded for the best float and best marching band. Parade Route includes 49th Street, Monarch Way to 43rd Street, and back across Hampton Boulevard. This event is free.
