We sincerely thank you for your interest in joining Machar! We are pleased to offer rates to new members that are half the rate for returning members.

Standard Dues Rates for New Members

Recurring payment option for Standard dues: If you would like to pay the full amount now, just check the box next to your household category and keep the Recurring Frequency at "One Time Only". If you prefer to set up a recurring payment plan, check the box next to the dues category, select "Quarterly" or "Monthly" from the Recurring Frequency drop down. Select either 4 or 10 for the "Total Number of Charges," and click the "Calculate" button to see the monthly or quarterly amount. The payment schedule is based on four quarterly installments or ten monthly installments. If you would like to pay a larger amount than calculated, check the "Would you like to pay a different amount today?" Enter your amount and a new adjusted monthly or quarterly payment screen will calculate your payments. For reduced dues based on need, please contact the Congregational Administrator prior to registering. Please note that all dues payments must be completed by June 30, 2024.

This category acknowledges the financial challenges some members in this age range may face. We encourage members to pay at the above-minimum or minimum 1 adult rates if possible.

Long-distance Member Household

This rate is for members whose primary residence is more than one hundred miles away. We encourage those who visit the area frequently and attend Machar events to consider paying at a higher dues level or making an additional contribution

Suggested Above-Standard Dues
You have the option to pay dues above the Standard rate. Above-standard dues are based on the household's Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). Above-standard dues help balance Machar’s budget and keep other rates reasonable. Your dues are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Payment in full (or the first installment, if establishing a recurring payment plan) is due by Monday, September 4, 2023.

Request for Membership Dues Reduction
Machar welcomes all who wish to be members, regardless of ability to pay. Dues, Tuition, and Contributions support the community by paying its expenses. In extreme situations (family health crisis, loss of employment, etc.), reduced membership dues/tuition may be granted. These decisions are kept strictly confidential, and only the Dues Committee is involved. If you have a financial challenge that prevents you from paying full dues, please request the Machar Membership Dues/Tuition Reduction Request Form from our Congregational Administrator at administrator@machar.org.

Machar Jewish Cultural School Tuition 2023-24

Please note that all families, with the exception of first time families enrolling only in the tots class (please see note below), must first commit to paying membership dues prior to enrolling in our Jewish Cultural School. All classes will meet twice a month on Sundays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. More details are available at www.machar.org.
