LUNCH AID: Fargo Bands for Kids

Professional musician and NDSU professor, Jason Boynton, was disheartened to discover that Fargo Public Schools' students had incurred school lunch debt of $26,000 during the 2018-19 school year. Boynton talked to fellow musician Russell Pfaff, who suggested a benefit show, and within an hour several bands agreed to donate their time and talents for the cause. After partnering with Co-producer Kari Lugo of Northern PR & Marketing, they created LUNCH AID: Fargo Bands for School Kids.

The goal is to raise the needed $26,000 and raise awareness of the needs of everyday families in our community. Lugo says, "It has been absolutely incredible how readily people have supported this idea. We have heard 'yes' the whole way and hope the Fargo community's willingness to help will continue."
