On Friday, November 21, 2025, we reminded ourselves of the powerful joy that comes from a community singing, dancing and celebrating who we are. Old and young, single and coupled, religious or skeptical, we blessed the candles and wine together, broke bread together and paused, if just for a moment, to savor pride in what we have built over the 371 years since the first Jews landed in New Amsterdam. We, at The Temple Emanu-El Streicker Centers are already dreaming up new ways to bring more such transformative events to life to rekindle the magic of reconnecting with the truth that, despite all our differences, we are ONE.
