An Invitation to Join Women of Emanu-El

Are you a current or longtime member of Temple Emanu-El NYC who hasn’t yet joined Women of Emanu-El?

Join WE by paying the annual membership dues of $125.00 by October 30th, and we’d be delighted to thank you with an invitation to lunch at “40 Carrots” in Bloomingdale’s on Monday, November 2nd, at 1 PM.

Founded in 1922 as The Women’s Auxiliary, Women of Emanu-El is a vibrant social and civic organization open to all women of the congregation.

We are entirely self-funded, supported through member dues, program events and donations, which allow us to continue our vital philanthropic and community work.

Your membership supports ongoing initiatives such as:

• Ronald McDonald House – We provide necessities for families of children undergoing treatment.
• Jewish Braille Institute (JBI) - An initiative helping to enable the visually impaired of any age to fully participate in Jewish life, from culture and education to community and religious participation. 
• The Phyllis Hahn Art Center at Emanu-El for Seniors – Weekly creative programming held at the temple.
• Annual Veterans’ Event – A program benefiting veterans.

This past year, your support has also enabled us to make donations towards:

• Teen Lounge at Temple Emanu-El Religious School – A gathering space for our students.
• Hunter College Hillel: Food Insecurity Initiative – Helping students in need to access nutritious meals.
• Kiddush Cups for B'nei Mitzvah students.

Annual membership dues are $125.00
