On March 11, 2020, nearly two months after announcing a global health emergency, the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic. Caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2, the disease originated in China and has spread to every continent except for Antarctica. There have been more than 215,500 confirmed cases and more than 8,800 deaths.
Global Impact’s Charity Alliance partners are responding worldwide. Response efforts include mitigating and treating the disease among vulnerable communities; delivering medical supplies such as face masks, hand sanitizer and gloves to health care workers; providing infectious disease training; assisting businesses with containment and continuity strategies; and more.
Give to the Coronavirus Outbreak Emergency Relief Fund today and support relief and recovery for the vulnerable impacted by this pandemic.
