At Archbishop Wood High School, our student-athletes dedicate countless hours to training, competing, and representing our school community with pride. Their commitment reflects the values that define the Viking tradition—discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and excellence.

To support their growth and ensure their safety, Archbishop Wood is launching an exciting initiative to transform our existing weight room into a modern, first-class Strength & Conditioning Center—a shared performance space designed to serve all student-athletes.

The Need

Our current weight room has served generations of Wood athletes, but it no longer meets the evolving needs of today’s training and safety standards. Student-athletes require access to modern equipment and an updated facility that promotes proper technique, injury prevention, and overall wellness.

This project will include:

 State-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment
 Electrical upgrades to support modern training needs
 Professional painting and facility improvements
 Enhanced flooring and ceiling upgrades (pending fundraising progress)
 Expanded fitness and performance training resources

These upgrades will create a safe, functional, and inspiring training environment that reflects the pride of our school community.

This new Strength & Conditioning Center will benefit all Archbishop Wood student-athletes, across every sport—male and female—creating a shared space dedicated to performance, discipline, and teamwork.

Initial improvements planned for this summer will help position Archbishop Wood for continued success and support enrollment growth as we look toward the 2027–2028 academic year and beyond.
