Welcome to online High Holiday ticket purchasing for Nonmembers!
Thank you for choosing to celebrate the holidays with Machar!

Purchase your tickets online NOW and arrive early before services to check in (volunteers will have entrance labels for all who registered in advance). After 5 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019, Rosh Hashanah tickets will only be available at Cedar Lane payable by check or cash only (a $10 surcharge applies for Main service tickets purchased on site).

If you are unsure about whether you will attend services beyond Rosh Hashanah, you may purchase a ticket for Rosh Hashanah now. If you purchase tickets for Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur later, you can still receive the three-service discount.

Please join us on Rosh Hashanah for refreshments following the service.

Please note: Machar members should not use this page, unless purchasing tickets for guests. Admission to High Holidays services is a benefit of membership, and we will have a master list of all registered members at the door and entrance labels. While each household’s allotted spots are non-transferrable, local members (this category doesn’t include members paying at the long-distance member rate) may request entrance for two non-member relatives on a separate registration page at least one week prior to each service. You will find that registration link on the www.machar.org home page. Contact our congregational administrator at info at machar.org or 202.686.1881 if you have questions or registration problems.

FREE OR REDUCED PRICE TICKETS
We invite Young Adults under 35 attending Machar services for the first time this year to register in advance at no charge (please scroll down beyond the payment area to register). Discounted tickets are available for returning Young Adults. Full-time students ages 21 and under do not need to register in advance; please check in and show your student ID. Machar also welcomes active military personnel and those who are volunteering for peace (through government-sponsored alternatives to serving in the military) to be our guests at High Holiday services at no charge. Please contact our congregational administrator to reserve your tickets at info at machar.org or 202-686-1881.

We welcome all to attend our services. Discounted tickets are available to Young Adults under 35. Nonmembers of any age who are experiencing financial challenges may request a reduced rate for tickets by contacting our congregational administrator at info at machar.org.

MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT
We hope that you will enjoy Machar’s services and decide to become a member. If you decide to join by November 1, 2019, the price of your tickets will be applied toward your dues. Please consult our website (www.machar.org) or contact our congregational administrator at info@machar.org for more information about membership. You may also arrange a visit to our Jewish Cultural School and/or Adult Education program which begins on Sunday, September 8 (info at machar.org or 202-686-1881).

YOM KIPPUR FOOD COLLECTION FOR MANNA FOOD BANK
Machar participates in the Yom Kippur collection of non-perishable food for Manna, the Montgomery County food bank. Please bring your bags of food on Yom Kippur before the main service begins at 10:30. If you won’t be attending on Yom Kippur, you can bring food on Rosh Hashanah or Kol Nidre and leave the bags in the hallway next to the chapel (first door on the left as you enter on the front sidewalk).
