Ohavi Zedek Synagogue Hebrew School Registration

Welcome to OZHS 2020-2021! Given the current pandemic, we are starting out with the bulk of our learning online but as soon as circumstances allow we will resume in person. In addition to online classes, we have plans for (socially distant) in-person gatherings, sharing monthly activity kits with each family and offering a variety of holiday based remote events for all. Our curriculum will be theme based with teachers taking a multi-modal approach to content delivery including movement, games, frontal instruction, crafts and stories. Despite our distance, OZ Hebrew School promises to be a rich experience for all of our students.

We understand that this may be a particularly difficult year financially for families. We have funding available for members to offset the cost of your tuition. Please see below for more information regarding scholarships.

Tuition scholarships are available for OZ members. If you are interested in requesting financial aid, please fill out the scholarship application form. Deadline for application is September 1, 2020.

Parent Information

Students at Ohavi Zedek Hebrew School may be photographed and recorded for the purposes of educational enrichment, member engagement and publicity. By giving approval below, it is understood that you, as the child's legal guardian, grant permission to Ohavi Zedek Hebrew School and Ohavi Zedek Synagogue, its employees and its legal representatives, to publish, without charge, images taken of your child on Ohavi Zedek Synagogue premises or in conjunction with an Ohavi Zedek Hebrew School/Synagogue event or for the purpose of an Ohavi Zedek Hebrew School/Synagogue publication. These images may be used in any and all Ohavi Zedek Hebrew School/Synagogue publications, including electronic materials, website, social media outlets, audio/visual presentations, promotional literature and/or advertising.
Emergency & Medical Information
Please list the people we should contact in the event of an emergency in the order they should be contacted. A parent should be the first contact. The other two contacts should be people other than parents at different phone numbers. In the event of an emergency we will attempt to contact the parents first, and then call the other emergency contacts below.
If your child has other special needs please describe in the box below. Please include special services your child may receive in secular school. If you feel it would be helpful for your child's Hebrew School teacher to contact his/her secular school teach you may include the contact information below as well.

If the school is unable to reach me, I hereby authorize the school and synagogue personnel to seek emergency medial care, including transportation to the emergency room. I hereby authorize the physician in charge to administer whatever treatment necessary at my expense.
