The Wagner Society of New York is honored to announce a masterclass with Stephen Gould, renowned international Heldentenor, presenting three rising Heldentenors chosen by the Society for this prestigious event. Mr. Gould will coach the young tenors on points of style, diction, technique, and drama in excerpts from Wagner operas. The participating singers are all Wagner Society of New York awardees or grantees, accompanied by Craig Ketter.
- Jeremy Brauner, who will sing Erik's Cavatina from Der Fliegende Holländer and Florestan's aria from Fidelio;
- Errin Duane Brooks, who will sing two excerpts from Tristan und Isolde; and
- Mauricio Trejo, who will sing an excerpt from Die Walküre and Siegfried's Forging Song.
This in-person, socially-distanced event was recorded recently and will stream via YouTube on Friday, December 11, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm EST.
