The Way of Beauty: A Praying with Sacred Art Three Day Seminar

January 24-26, 2022


“Beauty will save the world”, but not just any beauty, but rather Sacred Beauty. Father Kevin Lixey LC , the former Director of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museum will lead a Three Day Seminar on Sacred Art that will touch on its history and significance (day one), its timeless value and the great need for its conservation (day 2), and the therapeutic need for creativity in each person and of fostering sacred art today (day 3). Additionally, Fr Lixey will guide participants each day through a directed meditation before a sacred icon. This seminar will be interactive with opportunities for questions, discussions, practical exercises, and personal prayer time.

Presenter: Fr. Kevin Lixey, LC

Fr. Kevin Lixey, LCFr. Kevin is the new superior of the Legionary community in Cupertino, CA. He was ordained a priest with the Legionaries of Christ in 2001 and holds a bachelors in theology, an MBA in Theological Anthropology, and a bachelors in philosophy. Fr. Kevin has served as the vice rector of the Legionary novitiate in CT, the head of the “Church and Sport” section of the Pontifical Council for the Laity at the Vatican, the director of the Regnum Christi women's section in Atlanta, and the International Director of the Patrons of the Arts in Vatican City, among other positions. Fr. Kevin has written several books and articles and is fluent in four languages. He enjoys painting, woodworking, and playing the guitar and banjo.

Cancellation Policy:
Non-refundable credit card processing fees apply to all registrations.
Full refund (minus processing fees) for notice of two weeks or more.
50% refund for cancellations within two weeks of event. Balance may be applied to a future event within twelve months.

COVID Policy

In light of current conditions due to COVID-19, in an effort to minimize close interaction, Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center is taking extra precautions with the care of every guest to include health history review and enhanced sanitation/disinfection procedures in accordance with CDC Regulations.
Ticket holders are not to enter Our Lady of Santa Clara if: You are ill or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. These include fever, fatigue, dry cough, difficulty breathing, loss of taste and or smell, diarrhea, runny nose and/or other symptoms listed on CDC website. As well as, you have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with or has symptoms of COVID-19, you or someone in your household has traveled internationally in the past 14 days.
I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending retreats and events at Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center's staff, and other participants. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my attendance at Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center.
On my behalf I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center, its employees, facilitators, other participants, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center, its employees, facilitators, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any event or retreat held at Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center.
