Winter 2026 Synchronous Learning Course Registration

This summer, the Office for Catechetical Formation is offering a virtual Synchronous Learning course for credit towards catechetical certification- BVM: Doctrine and Devotion. The sessions will be conducted via Zoom in real time by a facilitator, Ryan Merrick. Because of the nature of these courses i.e. group discussion, registration will be limited to 20 people. Please read the protocol for the course. Be sure to check the box that indicates that you agree to the protocol.

Deadline for Registration: One week prior to first session of course or until course is filled.

The Office for Catechetical Formation reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment. Fee is $35- non refundable but transferable.

Upon completion of the three sessions, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement of completion for your files. Your catechetical record will be updated at that time.

Protocol for the virtual DVD course

Participants are required to:

Do pre-session assignment or reading
Download the course outline for each session and have with you at each class. You may download it to a device in order to save paper.
Log in 5 minutes before each session; excessive lateness will be treated as an absence.
Participate in all (3) sessions in their entirety, for credit towards catechetical certification. No absences are permitted.
Participants must use desktop, laptop or ipad with camera and microphone
During presentation, participants are muted unless asking a question or participating in the discussion.
All students will be participants in the group discussions.
