Woodwork at the Hermitage

Join us for an evening inside and outside exploring woodwork and the craftsmanship of the Hermitage Museum. Tours and complimentary food included with admission. *Light bites and desserts courtesy of TASTE.

- Demonstrations by craftsmen Jim Francis and Sean Kery of the Tidewater Woodworkers’ Guild
- Exhibition tour with Lindsay Neal, Curator of Collections
- Conservation tour with Gordon Freedman
- Block printing demonstration and interactive with Studio Shift
- Bar featuring Big Ugly Brewing and Waters Edge Winery

Handwork: Artists-in-Residence Reception
Friday, October 23, 2026| 6:00pm-9:00pm at The Goode Family Visual Arts School and the Hermitage Museum.
Join us for the opening reception of Handwork: Artists-in-Residence, a group exhibition featuring work by craft-based artists who have participated in residencies over the past 3 months at the Goode Family Visual Arts School. The evening will begin with brief talks from each of the exhibiting artists, offering insight into their creative processes and time in residence, followed by a reception celebrating their work. *Light bites and desserts courtesy of Yummy Goodness.
