UPA’s 2019 Open House presents

Beyond the Net: Renewed Hope for Gaza’s Fishing Sector

This year’s Open House highlights the ongoing struggles that Palestinians face in Gaza’s fishing sector, but also some of their recent success. Thanks to YOU, UPA has helped Palestinian fishermen in Khan Younis harbor realize their dream of harnessing the power of the sun to provide the harbor with a reliable and independent source of lighting. We are in the process of installing another solar-powered lighting system in Deir al Balah harbor.

But there is still so much more we can do.

You can support Gaza fishers by attending our Open House on December 7th in Washington, DC. Or if you are not in the DC area, you can donate UPA today.

Your gift will supply Fishermen in Gaza with the following:

  • Fishing nets designed to only capture mature fish
  • Safety equipment and water-resistant clothing
  • Solar-powered harbor lighting
  • Boat repairs

We look forward to hosting you at our office! We welcome everyone to this event.
