This workshop will reflect on Sheila McNamee’s concept of Radical Presence

“The ways in which professionals and ordinary people alike can be responsive, present, and open to a multiplicity of life forms.”

Learning Objectives:

  • How do we see Collaborative-Dialogic Practices being enacted in our daily lives 
  • How meaning is constructed dialogically in our interactions.
  • How do we develop awareness of the effects of our daily actions on other people around us: clients, colleagues, family, friends
  • We will look at how context is  constructed differently based on our personal histories and the experience and effects in our lives of socially constructed structures.
  • How do you apply the concepts of radical presence in our professional and personal lives.
