Temple Emanu-El's special Discovering Judaism pre-membership is designed to warmly embrace individuals who are actively engaged in the process of converting to Judaism, offering a welcoming environment that helps foster your personal growth on your Jewish journey while guiding you on your path towards full membership within the Emanu-El community.

Please note that the pre-membership is only for those actively pursuing conversion at Temple Emanu-El. Your clergy mentor will invite you to join once you are eligible, so please do not submit this form without a clergy invitation. 

First Year Only $800 for individual households | $1,000 for two-adult households*

*Note that the cost of the Introduction to Judaism class as well as security fees are included in this model. If you have already paid for the Introduction to Judaism class, please select the appropriate Pre-Membership Dues option. If you have not paid for the class, please select both the dues and the tuition. Kindly be advised that the membership portion of your payment is non-refundable.

• High Holy Day Tickets to Shir Chadash and Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur Morning Formal Services
• Member pricing for Streicker Center events and classes
• Invitations to the Discovering Judaism Shabbat Dinner(s) and Reception(s)
• Invitation to participate in all member receptions, programs, and events, including Gather Small Groups, The Well and Torah Study
• Invitation to participate in member volunteer programs, including Tikkun Olam and Sunday Lunch Program
• Once a student converts, the first year of full-priced temple membership would be free
