Helping Hands!

Join Women of Emanu-El for a festive Hanukkah card-decorating workshop at Temple Emanu-El

on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Bring light to the visually impaired in celebration of the Festival of Lights.

We will be creating dimensional Hanukkah cards for people who are blind, low-vision, and print-disabled, which will be distributed by the Jewish Braille Institute Library (JBI) with their holiday materials. You can help bring the warmth and joy of Hanukkah to JBI patrons, many of whom are socially isolated and treasure tokens of thoughtfulness, especially during the holidays.

Workshop decorators will enjoy a pre-Hanukkah afternoon of cheer and sociability as we decorate braille and large-print cards, provided by JBI, with assorted dimensional materials that will be provided such as ribbons, foam cut-outs, fabric, and the like.

So, bring your creativity, your enthusiasm, and your high spirits! We will provide the rest.

We will have light refreshments and a sweet treat.

Rsvp by Tuesday, Oct. 27th to ensure we have
enough decorating materials at the workshop.

We look forward to you joining us for this festive event.

* Please note that you must be a current Temple Emanu-El
member to volunteer for this project.
