For everyone fortunate enough to know Fran Lynam, you knew he was an extraordinary person who had the unique ability to make everyone feel like the most important person in the world. Beyond his deep love for his wife and family, Fran’s passions included basketball and his alma mater, Archbishop Carroll High School.

At the request of Fran and his beloved wife, Rochelle, memorial donations can be made to the Fran Lynam ‘73 East Gym Bleacher Fund. This fund was established to honor Fran’s memory and help complete the renovation of Carroll’s East Gym—a place he cherished and where he spent some of the best moments of his life.

The East Gym underwent significant renovations in 2023, including a new floor, paint, and banners. In December 2024, one side of the court was outfitted with new bleachers. The final phase of this project is to add a second set of bleachers behind the players’ bench. Fran and his family aim to raise the necessary funds to make this addition possible and complete the gym’s transformation.
