Since 1977, the Men’s Club Board of Directors has chosen recipients for the Samuel Sacks Achievement Award, established by Samuel Sacks himself over 45 years ago to honor dedicated members of the congregation. This year, we celebrate our 2025 recipient, Harris Diamond, president of Temple Emanu-El. Join us for a cocktail reception honoring his contributions to our temple community.

2025 Samuel Sacks Achievement Award Recipient:
Harris Diamond

Harris Diamond is the current president of Temple Emanu-El. During his presidency, he has successfully guided the synagogue through the COVID-19 pandemic, overseen dramatic growth in the synagogue’s annual giving, and helped the synagogue reach its highest membership numbers in a decade.

He is the retired Chairman & CEO of McCann Worldgroup, leading a global marketing organization with 17,000 employees in over 100 countries. Named Advertising Age’s “Executive of the Year” and “PR Agency Executive of the Decade” by The Holmes Report, Harris also earned numerous industry accolades. Harris serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Ronald McDonald House of New York, and on the Board of Advisors of Columbia University Medical Center. He has also advised the U.S. Government on national security and served on the boards of the U.S. Ad Council and public companies.
