Expert Panel on Climate Change and the Economic Opportunities of Sustainability

Record cold in the US and record heat in Australia both occurring in the same week are examples of extreme weather events that reflect long-term climatic changes are currently estimated to cost the US $250 billion per year. Mitigating climate change also presents significant economic opportunities for private actors to support governments to build the resilience of communities, ecosystems, and economies through actions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A panel of experts will discuss these problems and solutions.
