In light of recent world events, the Garden City Jewish Center’s board of trustees is moving forward with the installation of new security systems for our building. To ensure that members, religious school students and teachers, clergy, and visitors feel secure while in the building, we are adding common sense protective measures, including a building-wide access control system, video surveillance, and an updated burglar alarm system for the Sanctuary.
The cost to update the security systems is approximately $13,500; an expense that we didn't budget for, but nonetheless need expend.
We need your financial support for this additional security and are asking each family to consider donations towards these security enhancements.
Your donation ensures that we can continue to thrive and provide a welcoming, inclusive, and secure house of worship, house of study, and house of assembly.
We are counting on you to be part of this team effort.
